Sofyan Salem is currently the Digital Operation Solutions Business manager in Sub-Sahara Africa region in Schlumberger Digital and Integration Division based in Lagos Nigeria.  His 15 years expertise and experience span a wide area of Petroleum Engineering practice including Production Engineering and Optimization, flow assurance, Integrated Asset Management, Reservoir Surveillance, Workflows Solution Design, and Digital Oilfield Framework Design.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in petroleum engineering from Sirte University Libya, and a master’s degree in Reservoir Engineering from Nancy University, France. He has special interest in Digital Transformation, Business Intelligence and Analytics applied to petroleum engineering workflows. He is a member of various professional bodies including; Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE).
